Batman, Green Arrow, and the Question poster by Denys Cowan & Bill Sienkiewicz. This piece was created for a retail poster to promote the 1988 three-part “Fables” story arc that ran through Detective Annual #1, Green Arrow Annual #1, and Question Annual #1.

I remember seeing this at least 6 ft tall as part of the DC booth at the Atlanta Fantasy Fair. I met Denys Cowan at that show.

"The beauty, one has to make an effort, in order to find it and understand it.
There is not easily written as in most films where the audience is led by the director and the screenwriter to think what they want them to think, to root for the character, to say “Bravo! Isn’t he a wonderful man? Those characters bore me, quite frankly, and those kind of films bore me.”

Ben Gazzara on John Cassavetes and Peter Bogdanovich’s films.

It’s not working out, Dalton.
